Thanks Bob, very useful 👍. However, I don’t understand the bit in the summary that states, “in England, Covid test positivity increased slightly this week but remains at relatively low levels” when the graph appears to show it has fallen. Please could you explain?
It is a terribly sad news Kenneth Colley who played Admiral Piett in the 1977 movie Star Wars has passed away after contracting SARS COV 2 from breathing in contaminated air in the hospital. RIP Kenneth Colley. You will be dearly missed.
Thank you, we took great precautions since 2020 until this year and are enjoying rediscovering the joys of travel, seeing family and social events again with the current low risk . It will be hard for us and perhaps many others to adjust wisely once again to a new wave.
Fascinating, as ever, Bob. I'd be interested to know why you think the impact of the 'Nimbus' variant seems to have been so dramatic in the Far East but thus far so relatively benign in, for example, the UK and the US?
Possibly due to genetic differences between the two populations. The far east populations are more susceptible to influenza than those in the western regions.
Hospitalization finally dropped below 1 in 100,000 but it's still much higher than other countries where it's 0.8 in 100,000 in the US, 0.4 in 100,000 in Canada, 0.2 in 100,000 in Germany.

My mistake and thanks for pointing out. Now corrected to say that there was a slight fall in test positivity.
Thanks Bob 👍
Thank you, again extremely helpful. Covering Europe and indeed global is really useful. Explanation of variants again globally is excellent.

Such a thorough and helpful analysis. I really appreciate you adding the global situation to your report. Many thanks, Bob.

As ever, thank you very much for this important update.
Grateful as usual, thanks Bob.

Because the CCP exaggerated it.
