The extensive international perspective Bob ís now offering alongside the usual first rate UK analysis makes these reports now especially illuminating. Very hard |(as an amateur - and perhaps as a professional ,observer too?) to work out what's awaits us during the summer.
Thank you for continuing to publish this information. I am most grateful. My daughter, who has a tracheostomy, is extremely vulnerable to respiratory infections. We use your information to inform ourselves about when we should be isolating ourselves, and when it may be less risky to visit our local city (Canterbury, UK). Much appreciated.
"In the week ending 6 June 2025, 12.2% of registered deaths involved influenza or pneumonia (1,353 deaths), while 0.7% involved coronavirus (COVID-19) (77 deaths)."
I always look forward to your updates. Thank you for another detailed series of insights. Should we concerned about XFG compared to other variants in circulation?
Compared to Germany, England has 5 times higher hospitalization rate. 1.5 compared to 0.3. Clearly, Germans hardly test for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (species Betacoronavirus pandemicum).

The dreaded severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (species Betacoronavirus pandemicum) summer wave. Ugh!
Thank you for this continuing public service
Thanks again Bob.

UK hospitalization rate is still very high. In Canada it's dropped to 0.4 in 100,000 compared to 1.5 in 100,000 in the UK.

Suggest a rewrite. 'Yet again COVID continues to rise now above first threshold and heading higher.'
It appears covid deaths are down somewhat.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (species Betacoronavirus pandemicum) rules!
Beware of this account - it spreads misinformation.
Good to see low numbers throughout. Fingers crossed no big summer wave like last year.
